Physical Therapy Career Outlook Strong for 2011
Physical Therapy jobs in the New Year remain plentiful for thousands of Physical Therapy grads and the more than 120,000 licensed PTs, PTA's and DPT's who are either currently practicing or seeking employment.
Boasting a projected 99% employment rate in 2011 rate for the physical therapy profession, this year is likely to bring physical therapists some of the best employment conditions since the late 1990's. Aging baby boomers, improved patient access and increased referrals are all contributing to the increased demand for physical therapists.
With so many options out there, finding a physical therapy job that suits personal lifestyles and goals requires some research, “and is worth every bit of time it takes,” says Mary Kay Hull, Vice President of Recruiting at American Traveler Allied.
